  27. to the user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it with your
  28. friends, but please do not give it away altered or as part of
  29. another system.  The essence of shareware software is to
  30. provide personal computer users with quality software without
  31. high prices, and yet to provide incentive for programmers to
  32. continue to develop new products.

  35. TextPad and continue to use it after a reasonable trial period,
  36. you must make a registration payment.  This registration fee
  37. will license one copy for use on any one computer at any one time.
  38. All users will receive a copy of the latest release of TextPad when

  40. (see the on-line help for details).

  43. this software may be used by any number of people and may be
  44. freely moved from one computer location to another, as long as
  45. there is no possibility of it being used at more than one
  46. location at a time.  Just as a book cannot be read by two

  50. copies of TextPad within 30 days of first use or their license
  51. is withdrawn.  Site License arrangements may be made by

  55. first contact Helios Software Solutions at the address below for
  56. authorization.  This authorization will be automatically granted
  57. to distributors recognized by the (ASP) as adhering to its
  58. guidelines for shareware distributors, and such distributors may
  59. begin offering TextPad immediately.  (However Helios Software
  60. Solutions must still be advised so that the distributor can be
  61. kept up-to-date with the latest version of TextPad.).

  64. friends for evaluation, but you must include all files in the
  65. original distribution.  Please encourage them to register their

  84. and bad ones!)  The main difference is in the method of
  85. distribution.  The author specifically grants the right to copy
  86. and distribute the software, either to all and sundry or to a
  87. specific group.  For example, some authors require written
  88. permission before a commercial disk vendor may copy their
  89. Shareware.
